Well it is getting easy. It was a little hard at first as the manual could be better. But I really like it, mostly because I record TV shows straight to it and watch them at work.

For the music files it plays: Mp3, Wav and WMA. If you have one of your personal cds it takes maybe 30 seconds to transfer it to the player and it displays the album cover too.

    Here are the specs: http://www.archos.com/products/tv_ce...global&lang=en

It costs quite a bit, I paid $425 for it, I had a coupon for $50 off so.......They have one with a 100gb hard drive in it and they also have a bigger model that sports a 7" screen, but it isn't as portable. this thing I got fits in your pocket.

That's really not that bad compared to $300-$400 for 20-40GB MP3 players. Add in the large video screen and the ability to record directly from TV and that thing becomes a bargin as a TiVo/iPod in one.

Can you play recorded TV shows back on your TV?

yeah, you view anything that is stored on the hard drive (video, music, photos) on your regular tv if you want. You can program it to record just like too a vcr so you don't have to be home if you want to record something.

Oh, that is very nice. That thing actually sounds like a steal with the video/TV recording features. 30GB MP3 players run about $250-$300, so an extra $150-$200 for the large video seems very reasonable.

              Quick update..

I transfered 1500 pictures (high resolution-didn't downsize them), 500 songs and recorded a 1 1/2 hour movie off Showtime and its only taking up close to 5 gig so i have 25 left.

About to strart ripping all my old cd's onto it this week.
