god that song just moves me...*sobs* its a touching story about a spider who defies all obstacles. kudos to you my 8 legged friend......kudos.

For me it would be "Eagle's Wings" and "His Eye is on the Sparrow". I listened to it alot after my Grandma passed away a few months ago and the Pastor that did the funeral sang "His Eye is on the Sparrow" because that was one of her favorite songs. I actually tear up listening to alot of songs. The majority of my music is Christian so that is the reason I usually get emotional.

It's not that these songs are sad persay, but I always think of my mom when I hear them. Since I only get to see her once or twice a year, it can be hard sometimes because she's so important to me. And with "Sunshine", it's because that was the song she dedicated to me when I was a baby, and it's always meant alot.

Okay, I was all about the "movies that make you cry" thread, but songs? I've appreciated the emotion in a song, but I never cried because of a song.

Songs are the soundtracks of our lives... You can hear a certain song, and it will take you back to a particular place in time.... I can hear any rap song from the late 80s, and automatically I am transferred to Brooklyn Technical High School, with my flattop haircut, partying up a storm.... Sometimes the song can remind you of a dearly departed family member, or remind you of a particularly sad moment in your life, and the emotions might take over from there... I don't cry everytime I hear "Dance with My Father", but the emotions are still there...
