Mind of Mencia is my least favorite show that has held the time slot behind South Park. Lots of bad shows have held that slot. Dave Chappelle was hilarious...Mencia seems repetitive and loud.

            I agree.

I saw one of his stand up shows, and I couldn't stand it. When I saw him, he just did mexican jokes over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

That's exactly what it felt like. It's like - ok, buddy, we get the ****ing point - how about we finally move on to another joke, and maybe even a different topic? It seems like the only jokes can only make racial jokes.

He's oe of the most repetitive "comedians" I've ever heard. And very loud - he didn't stop yelling the entire time.

Just not my type. I really couldn't stand to watch him again. He's too one-tracked in his approach and material.

Funniest thing: he's not even Mexican, but Honduran!

I can't stand his brow-beating style of comedy. He has neither the wit nor the slyness to pull off a social-commentary style of comedy with any intelligence. His act is just easy joke after easy joke, the verbal equivalent of getting hit in the balls with a football or farting loud in a quiet room. Tired, so tired.
I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

Oversimplification is the escape of men who want to avoid the duty demanded by true understanding.

And he steals jokes. His real name is Ned Holness, and he is only half Honduran, the other half is German. It's comedy for the same crowd that can watch Larry the Cable Guy. He is a sorry excuse for a comedian.

Agreed on all counts. When I think of those crowds, I think it's just like H.L. Menken said: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence/taste of the American people."

He performed at my school and everyone I know who went loved it. They said he was much funnier than Dane Cook, who I saw and thought was a disappointment. I've always thought Mencia is pretty funny.

hell most comedian's can get repetative with their racial jokes... I guess because him and larry cant get past that like chris rock and the likes of dave chappelle, makes everyone just really hate them because of that non newness to their acts.

To everyone who thinks he can't do social commentary jokes.... You are insane. I have 6 live performances from him, and his 1-2 hour standup routines feature a LOT of social commentary. ****, he had the unlucky task of trying to make people laugh on 9/11/01... He didn't do his normal comedy that day, he did a LOT of social commentary, and he pulled it off quite flawlessly. He does the racial jokes so often on tv shows because quite frankly, that is what most people in America find to be the funniest.

One of my favorite lines from him has to do with gay people bitching about gay jokes... 'If you can take a dick... You can take a joke!'
