"Oceans 13" a go...

not really sure how I feel about this. I absolutely loved the first one, but i thought the sequal was just ok. Clooney, Pitt, Damon are all back. Julia Roberts and Zeta-Jones are not. Ellen Barkin joins the cast and the studio expects the rest of the cast (Bernie Mac, Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, etc) to return in tact. Released scheduled for summer '07. Here's the linkage...

I wanted to like the first two, but each time, I kept getting the impression that the people involved in the production were more entertained by themselves than I was with them, a movie that was more fun to make than to watch. I can only assume the third will only ratchet up the pervasive self-smugness of the first two.

I loved Ocean's 11, Twelve wasn't as bad as I heard, waited for video for it. But 13, ok, we've seen enough.

The first one was an "ok" update of the original movie but two more sequels are NOT needed.

i think this is more a result of the cast having a blast together when they shoot than the public wanting another one of these.

Kinda like how the Rat Pack did a few other movies but at least they did competely different plots (for the most part) It doesn't make sense to see basically the same movie again.

Oh well if they enjoy working together then I suppose that's good.

Loved the first one, hated the second one at first... but I ended up liking it better than the first one after I saw it for about the third time. The fact that the actors are clearly having such a great time on screen really made the movie for me... Hell if they want to keep making movies with each other let them, doesn't mean you gotta watch it.

I liked the first one, I liked the 2nd one too just not as much as the first...but I didnt think it was bad....I'd probably wait til 3 hits the shelves instead of seeing it in the theater.

I dunno what the deal is with the hate on the second.

I've seen it a couple times and thought it was great. I kinda want to pick them both up on DVD. Their is definitely a different edge in these movies unlike any others. Maybe because the cast is really comfortable with one another or whatever, a very "cool" vibe. Alot like the Rat Pack one poster mentioned.

i guess the reason i don't like the 2nd one is that whole Julia Roberts scene when she pretends she's juilia roberts, i thought that was the corniest thing ever in a movie.
