Exactly....I don't care what it sounds like....if someone calls 911 and tells them someone passed out, you send SOMEONE over. Even if it was just a cop...I mean, you have to send someone.

Wrongful Death Lawsuit should be looked into.

That lady possibly cost that kid his mother.... why possibly?
She could have had something else wrong that might have caused her to die as well. No one really knows, but none the less...

I don't care if it's a prank call or not. 911 should distpach. If it's found to be a false report, then criminal charges.

Exactly! Every call should be treated as an emergency. How do you explain to this child that he has now lost his mother!?

sadly I admit, I was a crappy uneducated and just a bad kid when I was little. I called 911 on a dare, and hung up. cops came and taught me a lesson.

Arent most pranks when someone calls and hangs up. thats the only kind that ive heard of. I havent actually heard of people calling and making up stuff. Twice even... if anything, its one and done.

That's just sad. What's the point in teaching kids to call 911 during an emergency if they aren't going to be taken seriously?!
