    Snatch

Has anybody else seen this movie? What were your thoughts on it? I just finished watching it and I hadn't heard very many people talk about it, but I thought it was a great movie. Very similar to Pulp Fiction in terms of the way the storyline progressed and some of the shots reminded me of Tarantino's overall work. I loved the dark humor of the film and I thought the various accents were great touches. Overall, great film. I'll have to watch this one again.

Kind of on topic, Jason Statham, who played Turkish in Snatch, and is The Transporter, and Handsome Rob in the Italian Job is currently getting ready to film the Brazilian Job. Hopefully they bring back Seth Green and Mos Def.

Snatch is one of my favorite movies. Great ensemble caper flick with snappy dialogue, a well-connected plot featuring lots of memorable characters, all wrapped together with some highly stylized direction. And Brad Pitt's performance is just great.

Is Snatch Guy Ritchie's only movie he has written/directed?

No....he's done a couple other things. Most famously, "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" which is basically the precursor to Snatch, and "Swept Away" which he wrote as a star vehicle for his wife Madonna and which is widely regarded as one of the worst movies in recent memory.

If you liked Snatch, you should definitely check out Lock Stock. It's not as good, imo, but it's of the same genre.

Love Snatch, like Lock, Stock. Jason Statham is also in Lock, Stock as is the guy that played Brick Top & Bullet Tooth Tony; also of note, Sting is in it, take it for whatever its worth.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels on imdb

As a side comment, if you like Jason Statham & Vinnie Jones (Bullet TOoth Tony) you might want to check out the British version of The Longest Yard, Mean Machine, only its soccer (futbol) instead of football. Ive never seen this movie, just a side comment.

I actually prefer Lock, Stock to Snatch. I guess I'm in the minority.

SNATCH is a great flick, I've yet to see Lock, Stock but will early next month on my VOD service.

I love the dog part in the movie, very funny!

Both the films in question have their charms. Both good capers.

Excellent movie. I thought Brad Pitt was great in it, as were Del Toro and Statham. That was the first flick in which I'd see Statham.

I also recommend "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels." Vinnie Jones is great.

                        Take care,

I remember laughing hysterically when a buncha buddies and I saw the previews for a movie called "Snatch". Hey, we were still perverts when we were 19.

It's definately a good movie though, I found it funny as hell though I don't know if it was really intended to.
