    Oldboy

I'm really not into forgein films but holy **** this movie is crazy. Its from korea and its dubbed well so its not annoying. I gotta say it has one of the coolest fight scenes; 'the hallway'....so simple yet very unique and memorable.

The direction is excellent and its something Tarantino would try to bring to america. I suggest Netflixin it if you haven't seen it

hmm remake? ehh it might work, it is a little weird for American audiences i would think if they make just like the original.

I don't think it's too weird for the U.S. It is a cult hit over here, after all, and the industry was buzzing about it for a year and a half.

I thought it was great, but..it kinda weirded me out.

Yeah, I really liked this movie and have had it in my collection for awhile. Its funny because I remember growing up and hating foreign movies with subtitles and now they are some of the most interesting for me to watch and have a lot more originality. A few others I'd recommend if you're into the sick/twisted/bizarre type films are "Audition" and a collection of 3 short films called "3 Extremes."

Blast from the past. I JUST saw this movie yesterday and was absolutely amazed by it. Acting, visuals, storyline, THE ENDING. Wow, just wow. The hammer fight scene in the hallway was masterfully done (which is something I'm sure has been talked about). I was so impressed with this one, I am watching the other 2 "vengeance" movies. I doubt it'll live up to Oldboy, but I'm going to watch it anyway.

I heard about the original after seeing that Will Smith and Steven Spielberg are doing a remake and I really want to see it.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

there's no way the remake will have the effect that the original will have. please watch it, b/c if i give you ANYTHING about it, it might ruin the experience.

Oh, I was trying to say that I want to see the original. It's in a list of movies that I plan to buy.

When I was at Borders a last year looking to spend a gift card, a guy recommended that I buy this movie. I think it was around $23, and I ended up buying Deja Vu and Carlito's Way instead (which combined at that price). I want to give this one a look still.

You know the Oldboy that Will Smith is a part of isn't based on this movie directly right? It's based of the japanese manga which the original movie is based on.

Forgot to add its part of a trilogy as well. This is the second film.

Well I saw this movie last nite( OnDemand on Encore) and it was great....beautiful visuals, great writing, as well as great acting.

I predicted the ending once he met Mi-Do, and was 100% sure once Oh Dae Su visited his highschool, but it still was enjoyable.

Great to see dazzling cinema coming from all corners of the globe.
