Problem with Video Card

I installed a Nvidia 6200 Video card. On certain parts of the screen the text looks like it's faded. A different color and harder to read. Could it be something as simple as the card not being pushed all the way in ?

updated drivers? monitor broken? if your vid. card isn't pushed all the way in, you wouldn't even get a screen.

Id be willing to bet bad monitor... got a spare to try it on?

That might be it. Weird thing is it was fine until I changed my VC. Right not the text in the middle of this sentence looks a little off colored. If I drag the window to the left and right, that same text looks fine so it looks like the middle section of my monitor is going wacko.

come to think of it, Lightning hit close by Thursday night and we lost power. Our printer won't power on either.

okay, printer works but the monitor thing is still going on. No big deal. I can tolerate it............now I have a good excuse to buy a 19"

I don't know if it's still valid, but http://www.slickdeals.net/forums/sho...17846&t=235487 19" dell ultrasharp LCD for $220 (before applicable taxes). with your nvidia 6200, i'm sure it has DVI, so it should look real nice.

doesnt seem to show up at all in the pic... that being said, Id still go with monitor. You might try to degauss it if it has it and then also adjust the frequency settings of your VC... Im just throwing things at it though without being in front of it.

Thanks, I will have to mess with the video card settings. It's an LCD monitor (forgot to mention). Not sure if that makes a difference. The areas I circled, the text looks Blue and the rest is black.
