Taking Back Sunday - "Louder Now"

Anyone else pick this up since it came out yesterday? I went right over to Best Buy as soon as I had the chance yesterday and picked it up (for only 10 bucks!!). So far, through 3 listens, AWESOME cd. Can't really write a solid review yet, as i'll want to listen to it a few more times. But, it is one thing for sure, and that is CATCHY. I found myself humming or singing most of the songs all day today. Definitely recommended for any fans of TBS, or anyone that isn't and wants to listen to something new.

    Definite Downloads:

    "My Blue Heaven"
"Twenty Twenty Surgery" (CATCHY AS H*LL!)
    "Error Operator"
    "Divine Intervention"
    "Miami"
    "Spin"

Not to say the rest aren't worth downloading, but these are the ones i've enjoyed the most thus far.

This album leaked a few weeks ago but I never gave it a chance.

I used to be able to listen to this band, about three years ago, but now I can't stand them. But I have heard that this may be there best album yet, from a lot of people....so people should check it out if they are TBS fans.

Re: Taking Back Sunday - "Louder Now"

ive been a tbs fan since early early early on.

Nothing will ever top their first CD (tell all your friends)IMO. I loved their second CD after hating it for the first month I got it.

I downloaded some songs from their new louder now CD and wasnt too impressed with it outside of "make damn sure" so I didnt buy it on release day yesterday. Ill definatly pick it up once I get some loose change just because them along with "and then I turned seven" are my favorite bands, but hopefully its the same deal with their second cd where I fall in love with it after hating it at first.

I agree nothing will ever top their first CD

but about the second CD? I didnt think it was bad at all....I disliked it at first because it was a little different style than the first, mostly because one of the members left, but after a while it grew on me. I fell in love with "slowdance on the inside" thats now my favorite TBS song....I thought decade under the influence, set phasers to stun, this photograph is proof (i know you know) , and Little divotional were all really good tracks as well.

              First CD....this one..............second CD.

Very good CD, in my opinion. MakeDamnSure, My Blue Heaven and Error operator are my favorites, so far.

Re: Taking Back Sunday - "Louder Now"

A friend sent this CD to me on Sunday, been listening to it since.

Like already stated, nothing will top Tell All Your Friends. That's one of the rare CDs that comes out where you can listen from first track to last track without skipping a song, because they're that good.

Where You Want To Be is a good CD. It took some getting used to but I definitely like it. I don't see why everyone is bashing it so badly.

                As far as this CD...

Best song - Twenty Twenty Surgery, without question. The line "You're So Sensitve, I Am, I am A Machine" is amazing. It's very catchy.

Worst song - Divine Intervention - I really don't know what they were thinking with this song. Might be the worst TBS song of any of the three CDs. I may actually end up skipping this song every single time it comes on.

Other songs I really like - MakeDamnSure, Liar (Takes One To Know One), Spin and Error Operator.

I saw them a few weeks back, and they played MakeDamnSure, Error Operator, and What It Feels Like To Be A Ghost off the new album. I'm guessing now, they'll be playing more off this CD now that it's been released.

Overall, a solid CD and while I know they're going for a louder sound, it'll take some getting used to.

Alright well I just "picked" this one up and just now starting to listen to it. I've listened to these guys for awhile now. Not to mention when I road tripped from Missouri down to Texas, through Texas to New Mexico to Arizona, all the way up the California coast and ended up in Reno.. anyway, my point is I listened to these guys pretty much the whole way. (Actually saw them in Reno when they came there also)

I've enjoyed My Blue Heaven, Miami, Error: Operator, I'll Let You Live and Liar.

Second CD is good as well, Eli....but the first one is just so good it doesn't come close....need a few more listens to see if this one actually tops the 2nd...as the 2nd one certainly grows on you.

I'm going to try and get tickets to the Angels and Airwaves and TBS concert when they go on sale.

Agreed that nothing tops "Tell All Your Friends". That's easily in my top 3 CD's of all time. Not to mention I can listen to "Cute Without The E" anytime, anywhere, any amount of times, and still love the song. Easily the catchiest and most singable song i've ever heard.

I agree...after a few days and a bunch of listens, this Cd has grown on me quite a bit.

Liar, MakeDamnSure, Error Operator and My Blue heaven are easily my three favorite songs on the CD, with Twenty-Twenty Surgery a close second.
