I dont understand the point of the movie. These events just happened, nothing good came out of them, except thousands of people died and a country went to war. To me, its tasteless.

It's almost like a documentary (by showing what happened) except a movie instead. I will probably rent it on DVD when it comes out.

I would think it was tasteless....if they hadn't went o every single one of the families and got permission.

Some of the family members are actually in the movie(one of the stewardess is.)

I'd go see it, but I don't think I'd be able to find anyone to go with, so I'll wait for the DVD

Judging from the first weekend box office, most Americans didn't want to see the film.

Nothing good? We came together as a nation and recognized the new asymetrical threat forming against our country.

Five years (although it doesn't seem that long ago) is enough time for people to "not remember" certain things about those attacks. Hell, a kid that was 13 at the time would be 18 now and have a better understanding of it. Not just that, but I don't think the average american fully understood what happened on that plane.

It wasnt me who ordered that the plane be shot down. The poor souls who lost their lives that day didnt ask to be shot down so I dont know how their memory is disgraced.

You are like one of those people who think that people against the war in Iraq are against the troops, which is completely false. We support the troops just not the idiots who sent them to war.
