    I don't think this one tops Shogun, but IMO, that may be the best metal album i've ever heard. Not to say In Waves isn't good, as i've been listening to it constantly since yesterday.

    I will say that I love how Trivium never sounds the same album to album. This one reminds me the most of Ascendancy, which I also loved, but it has bits and pieces of each album thrown in, with some new sounds as well. These guys still get a bad rap in the metal community it seems, and honestly, I think it's because people are STILL miffed that The Crusade sounded almost exactly like Metallica.

            I figure it's from people wanting bands to be original. I don't even remember how the Crusade sounded anymore, it wasn't in my rotation long. Ascendancy was amazing IMO, and the Metallica cover, Master of Puppets I believe, was outstanding.

            Does anyone remember the singers other band Capharnaum? It was heavier but I don't know if they had more than 1 album.

                Nothing wrong with it, atleast to me. A lot of people really disliked it though for that reason. It personally wasn't my favorite Trivium album, but I liked it.

                    I liked The Crusade.. and that's actually how I discovered them because I heard that that album sounded a lot like Metallica. (Big 'tallica fan).

                    But their other albums are just awesome. I would probably rank 'The Crusade', although a great album, as my least favorite Trivium album.
