I don't know about that. For those of us that are old enough to remember the original Superman, this one seems to follow right in its footsteps. I got chills hearing the same score being used as the original.

Seeing Brando in the trailer was awesome I thought. It really looks like it is gonna be an awesome movie. I can't wait. This is on Star Wars level to me.

Yeah, me too. This will really bring me back. I can remember being 6-7 years old and seeing this in movie theater and thinking I could fly afterwards. Now I'll be bringing my six year old to this one.

Squint and Aukevin that's exactly the kind of vibe i'm getting from this movie. It's the thing that keeps the original Superman movie as my #1 comics film and that is the grandeur and epic feel. The original film had that kind of mythos building that very few films have pulled off. I think SR will be one of those few films after seeing the two trailers so far.

I don't care how far CGI has come or how "real" Spiderman or Batman look in their latest releases, it doesn't get any better than the original Superman. That is the best all-time comic book movie (with the original Batman a distant 2nd).

To me there didn't need to be any more Super Man movies. I grew up with the other other series, and don't have any interest in any more.

Actually I'm burned out on the whole super hero/comic book movie thing. I did like Batman however.

I totally agree. So what if the flying sequences aren't the best? That's not the point. No one has managed to out do Donner's original Superman as far as comic book adaptations go.

Not to mention that Christopher Reeve never seems to get the credit he deserves for the job he did.

This is the only movie that I have to see this year. Even my 3 year old can't stop watching that trailer.

The flying effects look awesome too. I'm sure everyone's already read about the massive 300 yard indoor contraption they built for the flying stunts. They paid a tonne for it but it looks like it's going to pay off.
Routh looks perfect for the role too.

I think this movie will get close to $500 million in the US alone. There's no bigger superhero name than Superman.

Can't wait.
