The wildcard in the Blue-Ray vs. HD-DVD format war is the Adult Film Industry.

But at this point, companies haven't announced which format they will support.

There were a lot of articles closer to the beginning of this year on Gamespot I believe that had announcements. By the way, aren't there more videos for Blu-Ray expected at their launch than HD-DVDs for this HD-DVD?? That's a hell of a lot of cds. Also, Sony kind of does have an upper hand seeing that they can prevent their studios from allowing HD-DVDs to be made. That's a hurter.......

If going on Sony's track record for pushing their own format whether it be Betamax, PSP Movies, Mini-Disc, or ATRAC I'd put my money on HD-DVD. Personally I don't care, I am not buying a next gen DVD player until the format wars are over.
