I dont wanna give too much away...So Ill just say, it was a lot better than I expected. Im not really into action movies and havent seen the first two MI's...But this one was really good, and Phillip Seemore Hoffman(sp?) was terrific...

Better than expected for me, too. I saw the first two, I thought 1 was pretty good and 2 was weak (no plot). Anyway, my full comments are in the other MI thread. -

saw it today and was blown away. the action scenes and the gadgets were so cool. anyways, i'd give it a 7-8/10. and maggie Q, wow!
what struck me at the end was the whoole purpose? like, the story? it kinda boggled my mind how they didnt even explain what the device wasComment

MI3 was better than MI and MI2. The movie was full of non-stop action.
Cruise was great as usual and Hoffman was an excellent bad guy. The bridge scene was top notch. Ving Rhymes and the guy from Shawn of the Dead had a couple of funny lines.
There were a couple of nice twists.
I'm going to pick up this film on DVD.
MAJOR SPOILER WARNING
For a brief moment, I actually thought Cruise was going to die. I thought Hoffman killed his wife once he counted to 10 but the lady was just wearing a mask. I'm disappointed the Rabbit Foot's was never explained. Maybe this will be explained in MI4.

I don't think the point revolved around the rabbit's foot. It merely represented any of the number of "anti-God's" that have come along. It was nothing more than another weapon that needed to stay out of the hands of the bad guys.
