I picked up an old RCA satellite dish for Direct TV at a garage sale and I can't find out if the 18" dish's LNB is compatible with circular polarization, linear polarization, or both. I can't find any info anywhere. Would any of you have an idea?
The reason that I ask is that I have a MPEG2 Free to air system that I want to incorporate it in. I have a 10 foot dish to receive C-band channels, but no Ku band LNB. That's where the 18" dish comes in - it has a Ku-band LNB and I can use it along with my big dish to tune in channels on at least one satellite because it can't move. But I can only use it if it supports linear polarization.
It's a hobby of mine, and I'd like to try and tune in the 100s of international channels available on 1 satellite. Thanks.
