    Anybody Know about specs for an RCA Satellite System?

    I picked up an old RCA satellite dish for Direct TV at a garage sale and I can't find out if the 18" dish's LNB is compatible with circular polarization, linear polarization, or both. I can't find any info anywhere. Would any of you have an idea?

    The reason that I ask is that I have a MPEG2 Free to air system that I want to incorporate it in. I have a 10 foot dish to receive C-band channels, but no Ku band LNB. That's where the 18" dish comes in - it has a Ku-band LNB and I can use it along with my big dish to tune in channels on at least one satellite because it can't move. But I can only use it if it supports linear polarization.

    It's a hobby of mine, and I'd like to try and tune in the 100s of international channels available on 1 satellite. Thanks.

      Vince;
      I'm going WAY off subject here...but I figure since you're signature is going to be in every post you make....

      You do realize that being sentenced to life in prison....DOES NOT necessarily mean that you will be spending the rest of your life in prison. That may not be what the quotee meant...but the statement is not exactly "wrong". FYI.

        Which brings us an interesting dilemna, if we through medical know-how extend our lives to say...500 years...what do we do about all of the people who supposedly have "life in prison" with sentences like 120 years or 150 years? The penal system would be obliterated by such a medical advancement. People like Mousowai or howver you spell his name would be let out with many years to live free.

          Hey, thanks for helping me out. Found out what I needed by doing a search on those forums. It seems that I'm out of luck unless I just want to watch Direct TV.
