SNL hosted by Tom Hanks with the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Can't believe they just repeated Celebrity Jeopardy pretty much with a Wheel of Fortune sketch.

Kinda not paying attention cuz I'm studying but it seems awful. Where is Will Ferrell, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, hell even Chris Katan or Tim Meadows when you need them.

They should just make the entire show a digital short.

There's not many rock and roll bands that have a better lead guitar and bassist than John Frusciante and Flea.

I love Dani California. Can't wait until Tuesday, I'm trying to hold off from downloading that album.

Any humor from this show is coming from the genius that is Tom Hanks.

This Colin Powell sketch which is supposed to be like Samford and Son or something is coming off as pretty racist.

Wow, that episode was pretty un-funny. Much like the rest of this season.

If it wasn't for Weekend Update, the Digital Shorts and Amy Poehler, I'd be hard pressed to keep watching this. Btw, why didn't they bring John Lovitz back to do the skit with Hanks where they stand on the street corner and get ignored by women?

                        I can't imagine Lovitz wasn't available...

Agreed, this is the only episode I watched in full cuz I love watching Tom Hanks and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of my favorite bands. Chili Peppers were awesome and Hanks did what he could, but this show needs an overhaul and fast. They almost need to do someting drastic, like hire Dave Chapelle...if that is even possible.

I second that! Especially when John got clean.

I'm so tired of Chapelle's act (off the stage) that I have no interest in watching anything he does.

Anyway, I actually think the cast is pretty good. Amy Poehler, Fred Armison, Keenan Thompson, Finesse Mitchell, Will Forte, Horatio SanzAmy Dratch and Seth Meyer are all really funny. Weekend Update is the funniest it's been in a long time, and the Digital Shorts have been strong since the start of the season (if not the best part of some episodes).

However the writing is unbelievably lame and unimaginative. Like the Wheel of Fortune skit tonight...just a waste of time. And when they try to do other shows. The O'Rielly Factor comes to mind. Which was done incredibly well a couple of years ago by Jeff Richards, but now they resort to Hammond doing the same impression he does of just about everybody and making the same lame joke over and over and over.
