Rush Hour 3 - Summer 2007

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are returning. Director Brett Ratner is also back.

They're heading to France this time. I thought it was going to be NYC with the way Rush Hour 2 ended.

Tucker is being paid 20 million plus a percentage of the gross. Chan is being paid 15 million plus a percentage of the gross.

Chris Tucker has made a grand total of 2 films in the past 9 years. The movies are Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2.

I loved the first too. I can't believe Chris Tucker is making all that money. He should make more movies though, he's a lot funnier then most of the actors who are getting leading/supporting roles in comedies today.

I thought both Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 were hilarious. Hopefully this one will be too.

I guess they're going with "French bashing" humour for this one. I remember reading a year or so ago that they were going to be in Egypt for part 3.

I have a feeling RH3 will be a flop compared to the first two.

Why doesn't Tucket make more movies? I'm not a big fan of dragging on a series, but both of the first two were good popcorn action/comedy flicks, and everybody seems to be back so it can't be too bad.

1. He wants a **** load of money for each film he makes. I heard of him negotating his way out of a few other films.

2. He's notoriously frugal. So he still has a good amount of that money from the Rush Hour 2 (15 mil) left.

Im pretty sure that was about the 3rd of Shanghai Noon/Knights but that was just Chan & Owen kidding around... not sure how serious they were. It was in some interview or something after Knights was released.

I guess I can understand that but after Rush Hour came out I would think he got tons of movie offers that would have paid him pretty nicely. I wish he would make more movies too, but I guess he is content just doing Rush Hour. Doesn't he also do stand up too?

Rumors were, Chan wanted to do it in Egypt and Tucker wanted to do something in Africa (read it off of yahoomovies).


I probably like the 2nd one better then the first and thats rare....cant wait for this one.

remise: Not much is known yet (9/19/01) about this film's premise, except that it will be set primarily somewhere on the continent of Africa. Jackie Chan told Empire Online that he prefers Egypt, while Tucker prefers South Africa. Possibly, like in Rush Hour 2, they'll just do both, starting in one, and then moving to the other? One has to wonder, that if they go to Egypt, we may get to see Jackie doing his kung fu on a pyramid?

Hasn't Mr. Tucker had a couple run-ins with the law for excessive speeding?
