oh, i don't doubt he's not 100%, but i guess i just think that breaking the breath holding world record probably isn't possible when you're in that bad of shape

with David Blaine i'm somewhat skeptical, i believe he'll do it, but doubt he's as bad as people say anyways

I think a lot of the viewers watch based on that reason..not nec hoping something happens, but maybe deep down wanting to see something shocking...I dont know.

Technically, hes not even eligible for the world record according to Guiness standards. For him to be eligible for the 8 min 58 seconds record, hes not allowed to have pure oxygen going into his system for at least 2 hours before the attempt. The record for holding your breath immediately after receiving purre oxygen like hes doing is actually something like 15 minutes.

He seems like a pretty cool guy. Howard Stern was busting his balls in an interview Blaine did in the tank last week.

He said that the week in the tank wasn't really his idea at first, to get ABC to greenlight the project he had to do that basically. He really just wanted to do the nine minute thing.

Of course people don't realize that. I'm glad he made it that far though cause now I know I can go for 4 minutes at most now. I could only do about 2-2 1/2 minutes about a year ago. Going to have some fun this summer finding this out......

That seemed like a bit of a waste.

                          oh well...

He said on HS that he didnt eat any solid foods for a while before he tried to pull off this little stunt. So all he really ahd to do was urinate.

Boy did they get the perfect guy to host this crappy thing. Stu Scott is the Efffing king of hyperbole.

He was in for 177 hours (world record) and had tubes to get everything out of him.
