Oh don't get me wrong the Batman and Son storyline is interesting (I don't buy my comics as soon as they come out. I wait a week or so later so I get 3 comics at one time) but what i'm complaining about is the structure. Morrison spreads things out obviously because he has a TPB in mind. For instance the 2nd issue was really one long boring fight scene and the revelation at the end.
Dini on the other hand has written very tight stories that hold my interest from jump street.
The same can be said for Kurt Busiek on both SUPERMAN and ACTION. He has two ongoing storylines cooking and unlike Morrison keeps the story going. Even when the pace slows down you actually get "gasp!" plot! Busiek does a tremendous job of hooking the reader and getting them to read the entire issue without being bored. Hell, I even loved the old cliffhanger approach to the end of Action #842.
I'm willing to give Morrison more time but suffice it to say i'm enjoying the two other writers much more.
