Why wouldn't Dateline be able to show it? Just look at Cops.Originally posted by RubenDouglas

i guess i always thought there was privacy laws. i always see tv shows saying that you need to sign a release for it to be shown on tv.. I just had the thought process that if you dont want to be shown on a news/tv program, you can just say no.Comment

As far as I know that is true, people on cops have to sign a release, at least that is what I thought I heard them say!Comment

Same here. I would be the judge and jury. And I guarantee they wouldn't do it again. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

I think they have to sign a waiver form for the company to use their face on television. In the case of the perp, one can reason for him signing the waiver because it may slightly hurt the prosecutions case against him. The process of selecting jurors becomes more arduous when you must find folks who don't watch TV or watch that particular show, or have heard about this particular incident. Maybe this helps him by targetting some specific juror demographic?Originally posted by RubenDouglasi guess i always thought there was privacy laws. i always see tv shows saying that you need to sign a release for it to be shown on tv.. Not really sure about this.
In addition, if he is convicted, he also has the possibility of appealing the conviction on the basis that his jury pool was tainted (due to the television show) and thus he didn't receive a fair trial. It seems like a longshot, but when you're faced with spending time in PMITA prison, you'll likely do anything to get out of it. Obviously, they have evidence that he tried to solicit sex from a minor over the Internet, so he's basically going down. Anybody know what the punishment in Florida is for this offense?
He already knows he's going down for soliciting sex from a minor, and thus, a trip to PMITA prison, why not just seal the deal and go for murder? If the perp is out of his mind (a distinct possibility), then this is possible. Better to be safe than sorry.Originally posted by Heelfan71They won't do nothing because of the cameras. Re: What a piece of crap
I saw the new edition last night and I was disturbed.
One guy took off all his clothes inside the house. A couple of the people were married and had kids of their own.
Another man saw a previous Dateline episode and it still didn't stop him from going to the house.
Almost all of the men lied when they were questioned. Most said they showed up to just be a big brother or mentor to the teenager. I never knew mentoring included anal sex.
One guy was actually on a business trip. Just imagine his boss questioning him why he didn't make any sales.
I would be pissed if I was paying for his plane ticket, hotel, and other expenses just to find out the perv was trying to have sex with teenagers on company time and money.
They busted over 30 people in 3 days.Comment
