Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

I'm not really basing it on looks as much as attitude. As far as I'm concerned, appearance is the LAST thing when casting a character off a comic or TV show(not the last thing but you get the point).
IMO, the number 1 thing that Gambit has as a character is the *coolness* factor. You need to get somebody to project that. I dont know, the characters yall listed are a bit too smug for me. Diesel probaly wouldnt be a great fit and you might want to keep him from the heavily dramatic scenes as much as possible, but I think he has the charisma to play Gambit.
Look at what happened to Cyclops....guy looked the part and had decent acting skills but he had ZERO charisma and that killed the character."Maybe I can't win. Re: X3
It was a good action movie, but not a good X-men movie. Overall, I'm disappointed. You know, evil comes in many forms, be it a man-eating cow or Joseph Stalin. But you can't let the package hide the pudding. Evil is just plain bad! You don't cotton to it! You gotta smack it on the nose with the rolled up newspaper of goodness! Bad dog! Bad dog! -The Tick

Re: X3
If there is a 4th and Gambit is in it the role will likely be filled by a no-name actor. The biggest obstacle facing the franchise is the fact that there are too many A-list actors involved with the franchise who command top dollar. Any new characters added will likely be small-time.
In hindsight, I have to disagree with your assessment Hellfish that this was not a good X-Men movie. I tend to think the opposite, that this was actually the best "X-Men" movie because, lets face it, the first two might as well have been called Wolverine 1 and Wolverine 2. This movie did the best job of spreading the camera time. Some people still got snubbed (Cyclops, Angel) but overall it was not as severe as the last two (Wolverine was in every major fight in the second movie, at least here he was not).Comment
