Re: X3
Actually...James Marsden is a pretty decent actor, but the movies really dumbed down Cyclops, all three, because they apparently wanted to make Wolverine to be all-powerful, when Scott was really the leader of the X-men and they made him way too big of a *****, for lack of a better term, in the movies.
In my opinion, of course.Comment

Same deal, they killed him off rather than go through the hassel of re-casting him, which is just lazy.
And I agree that Marsden is a fine actor and it had more to do with the writing than his performance as to why Cyclops did not succeed as a movie character. He was basically there just to be Wolverine's foil in the first film, and then when that angle was out-played for the second they just threw him in the background. I'm not really a fan of Cyclops in general, but he did get a raw deal in these films.Comment

ABC/Disney acquired the rights to the show awhile back and has since shown no interest in releasing it on DVD, same with Spider-Man. Maybe they're afraid of Fox profiting from its release because it would help generate hype for the films? They even took the show off of their Toon Disney channel. I dropped some money two years ago on a bootleg copy of the entire show's run that is quite crappy (Disc 2 doesn't really work, and when it does it works for about 15 minutes at a time) and I'd love to be able to purchase something official. It was a pretty decent show and the first season was great. X-Men Evolution has been released in its entirety, it would certainly be nice if the original follows the same trail. It seems like everything but X-Men, Spider-Man, and basically every other superhero cartoon owned by Disney have been released on DVD.Comment

Re: X3
I think he meant the 90's Fox Kids series. Though everytime I see the '67 series box set I wonder why Disney has chosen to release that but not the 90's series or X-Men. Someone there needs to take a look at ebay and see how much people are willing to pay for crappy bootlegs, they're sitting on a gold mine.Comment
