A few yrs ago I had a wolverine comic where, though he no longer had the adamantium fused with his skeleton, he still had the claws but they were bone. I have long since misplaced it and can't remember many specific details of the story(ies). However, I believe it was three tales in one. And I do recall his hands were wrapped in bandages because of the wounds from his bone claws. I think something was wrong with his healing powers but I'm not sure. One story had him out in a blizzard or something where he killed a few wolves for food and fur. Also I remember a woman or girl asking him about his bandages and why his wounds wouldn't heal or something. He then told her about his confrontation with Magneto. Lastly, I believe Yuriko was in one of the stories as well.

Sorry I don't have more concrete details. But are you guys familiar with this issue?

No, I'm not familiar with that issue, though I do know Wolverine had some encounters with Deathstrike after the adamantium was ripped from his skeleton. I would guess the issue you're looking for would be from 1994 or 1995. Check the website garnettrules21 posted as it has summaries for every Wolverine comic released.

So why was the original director of the other two movies not directing this one? I saw it and it just didn't do for me what the previous two did.......

Agreed. It's a good movie (great special effects) but not a great movie.

Plus, I'm still skeptical of Wolverine. Seriously, the guy has claws and can heal really fast, but that's about it...

Not to mention increased sight, hearing, smell, and strength.

And how does that make him such a badass?

Juggernaut pretty much whipped him good.

With that line of thinking, how is any superhero badass?

Well....for one.....he pretty much can't be killed unless you hack his head off or rip his heart out, but good luck finding something to cut the admantium to make that happen.

But other than that....not too much.

Wolverine was named the most recognizable character in movies today by EW recently... I'd say he's pretty important... not to mention how badass he is.

I'm sure Hugh Jackman has nothing to do with how recognizable Wolverine is.

I'm pretty sure Magneto could have killed him anytime he wanted to. And I'm sure Jean Grey could have too (but I can't figure her out either...she makes stuff float). And you're telling me Storm couldn't figure out a way to kill him? Or Cyclops? Or Rogue? Or Iceman? Or Pyro?

I'm pretty sure all of these could take Wolverine.

But anyway, I can see I've offended the X Men fans here with my questioning the badassedness of Wolverine. Maybe he just comes off more badass in the actual comic (which I've never read). So, I apoligize.

Like I said, it was a good movie. Not great (#2 was), but good. I enjoyed it. So, I'll let it go at that.

Probably so... I just knew it was something to do with being popular.

In acting in movies. In broad way I think he was a star! I could be wrong! I thought Kelsy G. did a great beast! But I know he would, he just fits the parts!
