    Re: .BIN

.bin files are compressed CD image files. If you want to be able to utilize the contents of a bin file you can do one of two things.

    1. Burn the bin file to a CD using a recording program such as Nero or something similar. Note that you also need the .cue file which is used to instruct the CD recording application on where to point the burning process. In Nero, you have the option of burning an image. You would then select the .cue file, the CD would burn, and upon completion, you can view the contents of the .bin file in regular file format from the burned CD.

    2. Install an application that sets up a virtual CD drive on your computer. My personal favorite is called Daemon Tools. Upon installing this program, you would open up the .cue file from within Daemon Tools and the contents of the bin file will appear in a virtual CD drive under my computer, just as if you physically burned the CD. There are other applications which are similar to this, such as Alcohol 120%.

    Hope that helped..

With Dameon you will have to mount the image. When you run Dameon the icon will appear in task bar in the notification area. There you click on mount image and you go find the image file. You will see what drive letter you mount it to. From there on you can do what you want, open it, play it, burn it, etc. You can't burn it with Dameon though. Some images won't work unless some options are selected with Dameon. Let me know if your still having trouble.

Depends. If you are playing or doing something that needs to use that image to run than it won't work. But if whatever you are running doesn't have use for the image anymore than you can go ahead and unistall it.
