no clue on brick and mortar stores, but I bought one for my Dell Inspiron 8200 off of ebay for like $15 bucks, worked like a charm for almost a year.

Try http://www.baybatteries.com. If you call them up and ask, they may have something you could use. I did a lot of business over the years with them for some laptop batteries that I used for other purposes.
