Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
I'm pretty sure The Narrows was actually a set and not CG. There's a feature on the special edition release of Begins on it.At the same time, I didn't like the CG looks of the Narrows and such, as well as the dark, foggy look on the ground. I just prefer how it is in TDK, especially since we get shots of a normal city like Hong Kong. It would be a weird transition going from that one look to another.
Another "Nolan isn't doing Batman 3" rumor:
This one actually gives some reason which is that Nolan might not want to continue without Ledger. Apparently The Joker was in his plans for a third film but obviously that's out.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
Whatever it was, it didn't seem right in any way that it screamed "realism" like Nolan tends to want to achieve, and it was clearly another part of Gotham.
I may be in the minority when I say that I am 100% content if they don't carry out a third Batman film. With that being said, if Nolan doesn't want to do a third one, I don't want a third one to be made.Another "Nolan isn't doing Batman 3" rumor:

In as much as I understand your point, there is no way they let that happen.
Best hope is they hand the reins to somebody else who's talented and let them play in the Gotham sandbox.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
Is there anything that you guys like better in begins then in TDK. I know, i know, TDK was amazing. But, i actually enjoyed the combat in begins better. And also the batsuit. I loved the charcoal look over the leather. However, that is pretty much itComment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
IMO one thing Nolan can't do is direct a fight scene. Yes, the score and everything else about them overtakes what goes on in them (and most importantly the fights aren't the pinnacle of these movies' greatness), but there's not much to speak of in the fight scenes in general anyway.
In BB, when he's Batman, you can never see what's going on. When he engages the drug dealers, everything is close and swiveling. Same thing happens when he takes on Ra's al Ghul's pawns.
Though I did like that Batman was a little more "stealthy" in Begins, like you didn't ever know where he was, etc.
However, in TDK, at least this time we get a better look at what's going on, but it's just that everything feels a bit "slow" and poorly choreographed. That's okay though... everything else about the movie was great. I just don't want them to jump overboard and go from, say, Casino Royale to Quantum of Solace status.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
Agreed.
It didn't bother me that much in the theatre but a MMA buddy of mine just raged at the crappy fighting in it. He refuses to watch it agian for fear of damaging his TV.
Personally I wonder how much the suit restricts a belivable fight scene.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
Nolan needs to talk to Guillermo Del Toro about how to direct a fight scene.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**
In begins the suit wouldnt allow for a good fight, so it was bales double doing a lot of the stuff. In TDK, there was a new suit practically to allow bale to move better so they could get a better shot. Im with Blzer, i enjoyed the stealth aspect in begins, not a huge knock on TDK, thoughComment
