It's a huge week long concert in Brazil that is being broadcasted through Aol music. Just heard Guns N Roses play November Rain...music sounded good but Axl lost a lot of his voice.

Well there's no Slash and I think most of the band is different, but they actually play the songs pretty well. It's Axl who's voice has degraded a lot.

Actually pretty much the whole band of GNR are in Velvet Revolver. Except Izzy! Which Izzy, Slash and Rose wrote most of the songs! Especially Izzy!
I thought Rose sound terrible, but when I saw them live many many many years ago he sound great!

Axel is a strange dude. I met him once back stage when they played with Metallica. He thinks he is so great lol. James tried to introduce me and brother to him and he was actually pretty cool. GNR is one of my favorite bands!

Axl has never been a great live vocalist, so I imagine now he'd be terrible.

I disagree with that. I think he sounds just like he did on the tapes! lol Wow tapes forgot about those! I saw GNR live a lot of times and they were great!
But on the MTV award show he sound like crap, so maybe he lost it!

I just saw GNR May 12th in NYC. He sounded awesome live. You can easily find clips of the NYC shows that they just did and clearly hear that he sounded way better in the NY shows then he did at Rock n' Rio.

Sebastian Bach actually came out with Axl to sing My Michelle which was pretty sick.

Here is a clip of the show I went to. It starts off at the end of Novermber Rain, but My Michelle is next and you can hear that Axl sounds way better then RnR.

And Izzy did show up for the last show in NYC. He played about 4 songs with the band.

I just saw GNR May 12th in NYC. He sounded awesome live. You can easily find clips of the NYC shows that they just did and clearly hear that he sounded way better in the NY shows then he did at Rock n' Rio.

yeah he sounds good, the one thing about Rose is he is a perfectionist, so that is why it took so long for this album!

The guys he has playing with him now are VERY TALENTED.

Axl has always been spotty live. His problem is he runs around way to much and it just knocks his voice off at times. He can be good one song, then the next one completely out of whack. It's just how it is singing live for a rock band.

Izzy co-wrote some songs with Slash for the VR record (but didn't make the cut) and Izzy also helped Axl write some songs, but I don't think they made the cut either.... we'll have to wait and see.

Duff is still in VR.... he just said he'd help out Jerry and the AIC guys this summer while VR was taking time to write new songs.... meaning Slash and Scott Weiland.

if I was ever at that show, Id be pissed because of everyone singing in the audience. Totally ruins it. Could you hear that at the show, or is that just because of the audio recording???
