You have to install, restart FF and the extension should be where your other extensions are (mine are under tools > extensions - this is version 1.5.03 of FF).Comment

Ah I see what I had was "Tabbrowser Preferences". Thanks for the link.
EDIT: Argh though it messes up a bunch of stuff. (i cant click on tabs or see the titles, cant open a link in a new tab or close a tab with the middle click)

Re: Mozilla Or Opera??
I prefer Opera. I use Firefox as well, but I spend more time adding extensions to it to make it work like Opera than nessecary.
Opera has everything that I personally like right out of the box. Firefox is good, but it looks and behaves just like IE in that everything is so dull looking, even with skins. I don't know, I can't put my finger on it.Comment

Re: Mozilla Or Opera??
I use Opera also. It moves so well for some wonderful reason. I tried Firefox but got a few problems with it in the speed department. It's still a wonderful browser but after Opera, I just can't see myself going back. I mean, I turn off my computer, go to work, come back, start it up and I'm back in the thread I was last in without having to go searching. Tabs are just so......wonderful. I never tried to do any meia in Opera. Usually download most of the media I'm into. I don't usually play games online like that. You can play games on Firefox just like IE? The extension thing is a somewhat downer for me but I'd be interested in knowing a bit more........Comment

Re: Mozilla Or Opera??
The only thing I hate about Firefox is that it eats up memory like crazy. I only have one tab open (OS) and it's chewing up 114k of my memory. When you have an old PC like I do that is a lot. IE only takes up about 15k and runs much smoother.Comment

I've tried Opera and while I like somethings about it, I like the ability to customize FF. I like that I can get popup alerts when I get a Yahoo email and I like the weather bar that I installed at the bottom (extension "forecastfox").
I might give Opera a longer look if it had these things.Comment

Re: Mozilla Or Opera??
ok so I've been having this problem as well... My firefox died the other day and now when I click on it to go online nothing is happening. Thus I've been using IE and it's a pain in the butt. So two questions, one how do I get firefox working again (I've tried restarting my computer, no luck there) and two if I can't get it to work how can I get the download to work? Or is there an option on Opera where I can import all my favorites from Firefox into Opera?http://flotn.blogspot.com

Re: Mozilla Or Opera??
I don't know if you guys know this but on Opera, if you highlight a certain passage (words) on a site or whatever, you can have it spoken if you right click. It is pretty cool. I forgot about that. Does Firefox have that included? If so, I would have never known that on the real. It's a cool feature. Kind of like that Bonzi moneky that I downloaded when I was in college. Write it in the little message part and the monkey would say it. Pretty cool stuff.......Comment

Re: Mozilla Or Opera??
SUPER BUMP.....I had to search for this thread. I'm trying out Firefox officially again. I realized that I shouldn't limit my computer to just 2 web browsers. Each has their own uniqueness that they bring to the table. I hate that Firefox is slowly eating up the memory but I have enough to go around for now. It is incredibly fast too which is a relief. Can't wait to see how long it freezes. Kind of like how easy it was to import my bookmarks from Opera into Firefox. Initial try is a good one. Was wondering what OS is using now? Seemed like this thread was more recent than 2006. I'm getting old.Comment
