        My friends redneck wife's family had a baby born with an extra thumb and they got drunk one night & decided to cut it off themselves like idiots...had to take the baby to the hospital to avoid having it bleed to death. True story.

            he would be good at sports though. Imagine playing baseball with 2 gloves. Or better yet, he would be a great boxer. Impossible to defend.

                    THere was a kid in my school with an extra thumb...parents didn't try and cut it. I personally would try and do everything to get that taken care of.

                            Interesting story. There has been cases of this in other animals...just a question of getting the right genes in the right spot early enough in development.
