Dish Network new promotion.....hmmmmm....
First the sales dude is telling me that the America's Top 60 Package is the same as the Top 120 Package minus the music channels and that's it. But the channel listings on their website suggests differently. Then, he's telling me that all of the FOX Sports NET channels of which there appears to be a dozen or so on the Top 120 Package all broadcast NFL games because they are FOX channels (NFC games I presume). Can anyone validate this? I find this hard to believe. Anyone here with Dish Network and how much you like it?Tags: None -

I have looked into getting Dish, and called 3 times over the past month, all 3 times got conflicting info, so I have no clue what they are even offering anymore and I am now sticking with my cable. -

I hate the Dish. Believe the competitors commercials you see. When it rains, you Dish dies and god kills yet another kitten. I hate it with all my heart. It may be cheaper than cable but now I see why.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

The way it was explained to me about 3 years ago was that you recieved all Fox televised NFL games that were not sold out. In other words it's like you are viewing the game in that area subject to local blackout rules.Comment

I have Dish. First of all, the CSR's know absolutely nothing. You were most likely talking to someone from India. You're better off going to a satellite board like satteliteguys.us or the avs forums to get real info from the real customers.
Second, the 60 and 120 pack is different. Matter of fact I have the Top 120, and it includes a few movie channels like all of the encores and the movie channel, and I believe a cartoon channel and im sure im missing something.
Anyhow, no regional Fox Sports channels show NFL games. They're regional contracts wont even allow certain hometown basketball games to be shown.
With that, I'd like to add that Dish does not suck. The only thing that blows are the CSR's and the fees that accumulate if you have certain things like a DVR, you pay the 5 dollar fee, and dont know why.... Dish is cheaper than the competition so its not such a losing situation.
On top of that they always offer the new equipment deals to new comers instead of current customers, but it all depends on what you want.
I love the DVR, and will look to get the HD DVR rental (which is a travesty) because the equipment works just fine for me, and they have more HD channels than anyone else.Comment

Re: Dish Network new promotion.....hmmmmm....
I had DirecTV in NY, and often when it would rain very hard, I would lose the signal... We switched to cable when we got to Raleigh, and didn't have a problem... With the exception of one night last week when the signal kept messing up on the TV in the living room during Game 7 of the Spurs/Mavs... The other TVs were fine, so I wound up watching it in the bedroom. Weird.Comment

Its rained hard here in chicago for most of the past 3 weeks and I've lost the signal at least 5 times including when it rained just Monday and yesterday during the bball game. One time I lost the signal it was during the final seconds of the Suns-Clipps series at night. I wanted to shoot somebody.
I will never, ever, in my entire life mess with the Dish again when I move. Comcast may be more expensive but I cant take the loss of signal moments. Would if its the final game of the world series? Would if I'm having a Boxing party and it cuts off? You get what I'm saying but I've had the Dish for approximitely 1 month and when it rains, I call Mother Nature a b**** and I look to my 360.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
