Good Country Music

I know that a lot of ya'll here know some decent country music out there that is worth listening to. I honestly don't long for any but I've been having this void for some great duet and trio type of songs and country seems to strke some pretty beautiful cords. I was wondering if any of you guys/girls out there know any sensible country music that does great harmony, has moral type of lyrics, and is worth the time? I'm looking for songs similar to Landslide by Dixie Chicks and things like that. Something that has a simple type of accompaniment. Help a brother out.

Also, a freebie I'm throwing in there. I am looking for some great Asian music that I can listen to. You know like music in movies such as The Last Samurai or something like that. I'm looking for different type of music and cds I can put onto my ipod and listen to when I have dead time and my podcasts run a little low.

The Dixie Chicks' new album is excellent. It's a shame that most country fans and radio execs are such pea brains that they're persecuting Natalie Maines simply for expressing an opinion three years ago, because the Chicks have more talent than most Nashville bands combined.

Gary Allen (imo, one of the best of the "mainstream" artists)

Keith Urban (another one of the rare "mainstream" artists that puts out good albums nowadays)

Charlie Robison ("live")

Mike McClure (former lead singer of the great divide)

Reckless Kelly ("live at Stubb's BBQ")

Marc Cohn is country? Since when? Does this mean we'll start seeing Elton John and Billy Joel videos on CMT, too?

Cohn is a pop singer-songwriter and piano player. He's very good, though.

Both are more bluegrass than country, especially YMSB, but whatever. Good music.

the Dixie Chicks have been one of the very best country bands out there. All of their albums have been excellent, imo.
