Bands like Trapt

My favorite Band is Trapt, and right now im trying to find a band like them...mostly because i want to listen to new songs ( i listen to trapt alot)

What band do you think is the closest to what Trapt is...if any

EDIT:

I just started to download "Creed" songs again, I havent listened to them in awhile..They reminded me of the one song by a different band...All i remember was the music video was about a girl and a guy, and them throwing the car keys.

...Anyone know the name?

According to AMG they were influenced by Metallica, Soundgarden, and 311. Similar artists include: Mercy Fall, Taproot, Aphasia, POD, Powerman 5000, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, and Korn.

311, Linkin Park's older stuff would both be good listens.

Taproot has one or two good songs(Poem comes to mind, but can't remember if that was good or not)

I'd try going to either pandora.com or purevolume.com and checking out bands without having to download songs and such.

I for one would love to see Trapt and Linkin Park collaborate...It would definitly be interesting, but i think it could work.

I'd definitely give Mercy Fall a thumbs up. Very good band.

I remember liking one song from "breaking benjamin" so i started to DL a bunch of there songs...and there actually pretty good

They're by far my favorite band. Their new CD releases on August 8th. You can hear the single here.

I love "So Cold" and " Sooner or Later" by them...all there songs are decent, none of them are terrible..which reminds me of Trapt.

EDIT: there single is sick too, thanks.

I dont know how i feel about "rain" it sounds cool, but its wierd thats its a childs song ( well the chorus)

I own all of the 311 albums from Music onto the newest Don't Tread. I have seen them live countless times. Does Trapt really sound anything like 311?? I think I have heard one Trapt song and I can't draw any comparison to 311. Are their other songs that don't get radio play comparable to 311??

No, i listened to 311 and doesnt seem close at all...But it never says they should be..Trapt just looked up to them.

They looked up to Metallica and sound nothing alike also

Just wondering if I was missing some good music. I know the normal radio doesn't always play the best songs by bands, just the ones the companys deem "hits". Thankfully I have Sirius radio and get to hear actual good music =P

My favorite as well. The new CD looks promising, although Burnley's voice sounds quite different, might just be the pace of the song, idk. Still going to be sweet.
