Movies you've looked most forward to releasing in your life?

In your life, which movies have you anticipated most before they released?

I ask this, because mine happens to be coming out next week: Superman Returns. I've ALWAYS been a HUGE Superman fan. Hell, I even enjoy Superman IV: The Quest For Peace for various reasons. But after all the previews, all the hype, and the overwhelmingly positive first reviews, i'm counting down the hours until SR drops into theaters. I'll be there Wednesday night, then probably Thursday night, and even possibly Friday night. Can't wait.

Aside from this, there have been a few others i've really looked forward to as well. A few of those include "Lord of the Rings: Return Of The King", "Freddy Vs. Jason", and "War Of The Worlds". For soon to be movies, I really can't wait for Steve Alten's novel "MEG" to hit theaters supposedly in 2008 with Jan De Bont directing, and "Spiderman 3".

I gotta go with Spiderman and the upcoming Superman movie, although LOTR was pretty high up there too.

Nothing can top waiting for The Phantom Menace, and nothing could top my disappointment afterwards.

Big Nolte fan, so it was "The Deep" (disappointing) and "North Dallas 40" back in the late 70's and "48 Hours" a few years later. Also "Superman", "Superman 2", both Spidey movies, and all the Rocky movies.

I think the only other one I've really had waited in anticipation for was The Day After Tomorrow.

Honorable mention: Batman (the first one) and the LOTR movies. Both of which actually lived up to expectations.
