What's The 'Deepest' Thing 'Pac ever said???
I wasn't a 'Pac fan. Not a *****, but I wasn't into 'Pac like that. He had some songs I liked , some I didn't care for, but nothing about him as far as talent goes put him in the category of being one of the best of all time. Every time I get in a 'Pac conversation, I ask. . ." What made 'Pac so GREAT?" & the answer always is. . . . "...'Pac was DEEP!". So then I always follow that with: "Really? Well give a 'DEEP' 'Pac quote..." & they always say...."He had so many I can't think of one. . . ." So somebody help me here, I still don't have a clue. I'm not one to judge even IF I know the facts, but at least I can form some kind of perspective. . . . .& see why everyone is so enthralled by this guy.Tags: None -

I think Pac was good in the sense that I enjoyed his music, and everything he talked about was different than what you were hearing from guys like Snoop, Biggie, etc...
I don't think he was the greatest of all-time, and if "deep" shall be the criteria of being great, I know of other artists who are "deeper" than Pac. IMO it has everything to do with bringing a worthy message with great lyrical skill, set over an amazing beat.

masta ace is dope . easily one of my top 10 fav. rappers of all-time . him and az=the most overlooked rappers ever .
i dont even like pac much , nor do i listen to him much but i consider him a top 10 rapper easily . he was deep . his deepest song? probably "changes " . other deep songs - brendas got a baby , so many tears , i aint mad at you and the list goes on. name me someother rapper who can make songs like that that everyone enjoys? unlike many other deep or socially conscious rappers he was universal -one of the only rappers who could make music for all people and one of the few rappers who could talking about positive stuff without making it sound corny/pretentious(talib kweli) or preachy(krs-one, brother ali) .....
thats my .02 on the subject.Last edited by kuruption; 06-24-2006, 11:32 PM.And with the third pick - I made the earth sick

How about "some say the blacker the better, the sweeter the juice, then the darker the flesh and the deeper the roots".Comment

Re: What's The 'Deepest' Thing 'Pac ever said???
In Pac's time alot of rappers talked about violence and so did he, but Pac would go places alot of rappers didn't go. He would talk about political things like what is going on in the hood and all over America. He would admit he wasn't a perfect person, but belived in god, which he mentioned alot in his songs. He was a man that you could tell had alot of anger for his father but loved his mother deeply. Listen to dear mama, that song proved to parents that were against rap, that rap isn't just about killing. One song Pac could be rapping about sex, then the next could be about dissing some rapper and then go a total diffrent direction and rap about how single teenager mothers are struggling to raise there childs in america. Pac could rap about so many diffrent things. Pac did so much in the little time he lived. People forget that he and Biggie were 25 years old when they died. 50 Cent was about 27 before he hit the scence mainstream. If Pac and Bigge were still alive they would of accomplished so much more and would of been able to stay on top even past the 90's into todays time. This man knew he was going to die at a early age and had alot of people think after his death that it was possible that he would come back. 2Pac was a man with alot of pride and wasn't afraid to express the way he felt.Last edited by jetsfansiny79; 06-25-2006, 04:39 AM.Gametag JetsfanSINY79Comment
