I saw the 10 minute preview on tnt a few weeks back, looks pretty weird. I'll give this one a look when it comes out. Hopefully its better than the village.

      I think it looks good.

      July 21st...

I will probably wait for reviews though.

Like most of M. Night's movies, it'll be a "I loved it" or "I hated it" flick.

          M. Night has been on record as saying though that this one doesn't have a twist ending...weird.

            Bump.

I want to see this movie, but I doubt I'll go this weekend.

Ouch. 35 over at metacritic and 21% over at rotten tomatoes.

Looks stupid, but I'm sure I'll wind up seeing it on video at some point.

I think the trailer looks good, but of course I thought that about The Village as well. I'll wait for DVD since his last two movies really underwhelmed me, unless my wife wants to see it in the theaters.

You have to see M. Night's movies in the theater... if you are the type who says "its worth a rental"... then don't rent it... just watch it in the theaters and never watch it again to save money.

His movies in theaters are always 10x more suspensful.

As for me... I will def see it... I don't understand why most don't like The Village... but that would categorize the same people that don't really like shows like The Twilight Zone either... I am a fan of both TZ and all of M. Night's movies (especially Signs)...

                    I must see this one.

I hated the Village. Unbreakable, IMHO, is his best movie, and one of my favorites though. Just the ideal superhero movie for me.

As for Lady In the Water, I plan on checking it out as soon as I can, but I'm not expecting much. Until the Village, I loved all of Shyamalan's movies, from Sixth Sense to Signs, but I thought the plot in The Village sucked. There were quite a few good scenes in that movie though, and Shyamalan does a great job directing the movie and exuding atmosphere. But the story that he wanted to tell was lame there, IMHO. Unfortunately, might be the same with Lady in the Water.

I hope he breaks out of this slump, and starts becoming more selective of the types of stories he tells.

By the way, Signs didn't have a "twist" ending either.

My rents saw it last night and explained the whole situation about the girl, etc to me.

Pretty sure I won't be seeing this, in the theatres or rental.

I know what happens from spoilers and what not. I predicted it from seeing the very first trailer.

I'm sure at some point during the movie you'll say to yourself...

                              THAT was the big twist!?
