    Re: Talladega Nights

In a related note, it's hard to believe how long of a process it is to film, edit, and then release a movie.

When I went to the Charlotte Bobcats home opener this past season, Will Ferrell was there, sitting courtside, as he was in town filming this movie.

    Now, it's finally hitting theatres.

Probably generational, but to me Will just hasn't made a great transition to the big screen like other SNL fold. I like stupid humor at times, but it just tends to go overboard with him.

Speaking of SNL alumni that should've done more, what ever happened to Will's cheerleading partner Cheri Oteri......that's one funny lady.

I share about the same opinion. I find Will funny, but his "stupid humor" is a little big for me. It works good in a setting like SNL, but I find it not as funny on the big screen.

I hope this movie is anywhere near as funny as Anchorman.

              Re: Talladega Nights

I saw a free screening last night, this movie is very good, I don't how it will hold up to multiple viewings like Anchorman and Old School, but the theatre was laughing almost the whole time. Hilarity will ensue at this movie, although if you are a NASCAR snob you may not like it as much as people who don't really care about NASCAR, it is definately a parody of NASCAR, there is a lot of advertising in the movie and Sasha Cohen is quite funny as well. I can't wait to see it again.

There are NASCAR snobs? I thought that was only reserved for F1 folks?

Anywho, I may be seeing it this weekend.

I definately agree. I thought Anchorman was horrible, I didn't laugh at a single scene. I think the only time I've laughed at Will Ferrell since he left SNL was in Old School.

I used to hate Will Ferrell but he's hilarious. I keep forgetting that he did Elf, that was a great movie.

I like Will 10 times better than Adam sandler.

                              Hands down.

And I like Sandler, especially his older flicks.
