If you lived in Houston, and knew people who were literally ruined by the actions of the likes of Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling, et al you might care. I have friends who lost everything they had as a result of the collapse of Enron.

The greedy sob got what was coming to him.

I have family friends in Virginia who lost virtually everything. Luckily they made great investments in real estate, so they're doing pretty well again.

Now this is sad, he shouldn't have died. Instead he should have been hauled off to a "Pound-me-in-the-***" Federal Prison and lived out the rest of his life there.

Skilling also said that he contemplated suicide as well, maybe he should be put under watch now.

Maybe now that Lay is dead the money can be seized and given back to the employees/shareholders/investors. They made off with millions while other people lost everything they had.

I think his punishment should be to keep his corpse in a prison cell and not allow a proper burial and let him serve out his term that way.

Looking at some news articles, enron lost something like 60 billion dollars... the estimated dollar loss attributable to property crimes (excluding arson) in 2004 was $16.1 billion or roughly 17 billion including arson
