    Hollywoodland

Story of the original Superman George Reeves and his murder/suicide

Stars: Adrian Brody, Diane Lane, and Ben Affleck....

Looks pretty good IMO... Probably Affleck's best piece of work in years... not that, that's saying much to begin with...

    Here's the trailer:

I don't really care for the people involved in the movie either, but I do think the movie sounds interesting. I'll see it.

I don't like Affleck, and I've seen two movies with Adrien Brody which I both disliked and loved (The Village and King Kong).

I didn't see enough from the trailer to qualify Affleck's work. He is certainly well cast "looks wise" to play George Reeves. The intial idea for the movie's title was "Truth, Justice, And The American Way".

On another note, most of Reeve's scenes in the classic "From Here To Eternity" were scrapped because of his Superman connection.

I just assumed it was Affleck's best work because his other stuff has been so bad that it would nearly be impossible for it not to be his best work.

LOL. I see what you are saying. I'm probably very suggestible, but I remember seeing and liking Affleck in "Good Will Hunting" after he and buddy Matt Damon won the Oscar and Golden Globe for best oringinal screenplay and best screenplay respectively. I still think Ben did a good job in this movie and it is his best work, even if it was a supporting role.

I agree with you Jaybee. I haven't seen too many Affleck movies (Dogma, Good Will, Daredevil, and Pearl Harbor) and Good Will Hunting is by far the best movie he's done. I still laugh my a$$ off at the Family Guy clip of Affleck and Damon writing the script for Good Will Hunting.

Affleck's not in it, but here's a pic of the brown suit...
