Need some advice w/ my Xbox 360

I bought my 360 on April 29th at Circuit City (w/o extended warranty), the manufacturing date is Jan 13 (samsung drive). Ive really only played 3 games madden 06 for about 10-12 hours the first week i had the system, nba 2k6 (about 20-30 hours total including online, and finally fifa world cup 2006, for about a total of 60-70 hours, most of it in the last 3 weeks, not to mention several demos, arcade games.

Well, on several ocassions (at least 2 no more than 4) my 360 has had the one red light (of doom?) however by retsrating the system it works fine afterwards.

Another issue is that maybe 1/40 times I start the console, the green light turn on but nothing happens, when i restart the console the 360 logo shows up and its back to business. Also when playing Fifa WC, i get dirty disk messages (usually near the end of games) and this has happened 6 or 7 times (prolly a problem with the game rather than 360)

Anyways my point here is what should I do? My warranty expires in the next two weeks, and NCAA FB 07 is coming out and I would be devestated if my 360 fell apart taking away from game time.

Should I go to Circuit City and return the 360, or is it too risky that I might get even a worse system? Do I have a good shot of getting a more current manufactured system (they seems to have way less problems)

And if anyone knows, can I still buy the extended warranty FROM Circuit City and how much does it cost?

    Thanks for reading/responding!

Under ring of light flashes in the book that came with the 360 it has 4 and 2 and says "All other patterns: Internal problem requires service."

Can someone advise me what to do? Does Circuit City offer warranties for the 360 after you buy it, and how much is it?

i work at a local CC...

your past your 30 days from CC....but i know our CC will exchange out the product for the same product if its a defect..also need your slip..

but some stores will not do that...and you may have to send it off to MS..

CC does offer a 2 year warranty on the 360...i wanna say it runs a lil under 100 bucks..but i could be wrong...prices vary now and then on those..now if they exchnage your product for ya most def buy the extended warranty then!!

Called CC and told me I couldn't. I'm just gonna extend the MS warranty, its even $20 cheaper...although many people end up with WORSE systems than before

I managedcoaxed my mom into paying for it so she'll be delighted to save $20...sometimes its rewarding to get good grades :P
