Not always obvious. I'll lead off with William Frawley (Fred) and Vivian Vance (Ethel) of "I Love Lucy fame. Vance later nixed a lucrative "Fred and ethel" spinoff because she detested the guy-bought champagne for everybody with news of his death.

Paul McCartney feuded with John Lennon for a long time after Yoko came into Lennon's life.

Of course tupac vs. Biggie

Suzanne Sommers and her castmates when she wanted a huge contract which ABC declined to give her which caused her to leave Three's Company.

Marvin Gaye had a bit of a rivalry with Lou Rawls in the '70s and early 80s when Rawls would always beat Gaye out at the Grammys.

I just saw in the paper today that Paul and Ono actually hugged, sat at the same table, and talked at a benifit concert for some charity somewhere. Just kindof interesting, the timing of this thread.

I remember reading years ago that George and Weezy of "The Jeffersons" had a bit of a feud. Don't remember if that was ever resolved or not.

When John Lennon was killed Paul McCartney's initial response was "bummer". He later apoligized for what seemed like an insensitive remark.

Ok here's one that goes way back. Peter Lawford vs. Frank Sinatra.

Lawford was very close to Frank Sinatra for a number of years, appearing in several Rat Pack movies and stage acts. Sinatra, however, threatened him with bodily harm when he learned that Lawford had lunch with Ava Gardner. Lawford's friends managed to convince Sinatra that nothing was going on between Gardner and Lawford, but Sinatra refused to speak with Lawford for a number of years. The two were later reconciled, but Sinatra ultimately broke off the friendship after Lawford refused to act as a go-between for Sinatra and President Kennedy as their association had become controversial. The end of their relationship came when President John F. Kennedy made plans to stay at crooner Bing Crosby's house - instead of Sinatra's during a visit to Los Angeles. Sinatra was even more incensed because Crosby was a Republican! Sinatra's feelings were such that one time, when he learned that Lawford was in the audience he was about to perform in front of, that he refused to come out until Lawford and his wife were removed from the audience. Lawford and Sinatra never spoke again, though Lawford maintained a good friendship with Rat Pack pal, Sammy Davis, Jr. The two starred together in the 1960s film, "Salt and Pepper."

[For years Shatner was accused of being difficult to work with by some of his Star Trek co-stars, most notably George Takei and his fellow Canadian, the late James Doohan, both of whom openly professed that they despised Shatner for being an arrogant, egotistical, line-stealing showboater who tried to keep his co-stars in the background.[1] In the 2004 Star Trek DVD sets Takei seemed to have buried the hatchet with Shatner, but the gulf between Shatner and Doohan was more difficult.
