PS2 video converter
I want to hook up my PS2 to my desktop FPM. A Friend of mine told me he got a video converter at Best Buy but I can't find anything online.
Anyone have a device such as this and are you willing to share some info? Thanksbe who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.Tags: None -

I might be able to help but could you tell me what is a "desktop FPM"?Reggie Bush: "A lot of what I do is just natural God-given gifts. Re: PS2 video converter
Sorry it took so long to reply to your question. What I think that you want is a Video Game Jockey from StarTech.com. I have one and it has the ability to connect to your monitor and with a push of a button you can switch between the PC and what is ever connected via three video component cables. I personally right now have a VCR connected so that I can watch TV on my monitor and it does not appear to have damaged my monitor in anyway. I also have connected my PS2 and while the colors are a little different it plays fine. It has a SPK out that I have a cheap pair of speakers to and you can tell that the sound is not the best but I once connected it to my stero system and it sounded okay. The great thing about this is that it's direct and there should be no delay (controller input to screen action). I play NCAA 06 so if there was a delay I should be getting sacked like every play or it not playing right and it seems fine.
Originally I beileve that I bought it from amazon but a search there indicated they apparently no longer sell it (it was a quick search). But doing a google search for Video Game Jockey this morning and saw some companies selling it, it's about 50 bucks.
This should allow you to play PS2 on your monitor but if you want to capture images I am pretty sure that you will have to go another way.Reggie Bush: "A lot of what I do is just natural God-given gifts.
