Nah. He could walk over and whisper, "is this your cell phone?"

Then the guy would say how did you get it?

    "You dropped it."

Why didn't you give it to me there?"

    "The guards were watching."

See, and I wouldn't get my *** beat.

Anyways, why put so much into the previews? I'm going to have to stop watching them. (Side note- the height difference makes me laugh so much.

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)

It wasn't a lackluster episode....it was just more plot advancement vs. pure action. I think it's just a matter of 24 setting the bar so DAMN high.

I want to see more regarding the general public's reactions about the nuclear bomb, and I want to see more of Fayed and his men trying to do whatever it takes to get "the job" done.

I'm sick of seeing Karen f'n Hayes, stupid bitch. Also sick of seeing Sister Palmer.

There was a point where we didn't see Jack for like, 20 minutes.

I think I'm going to have to do away with the previews too, but if I do that, then we have to keep stuff that was shown in the previews out of the thread, because we'll find out what was in them anyway.

Milo or Nadia (or both) are about to get SCREWED for the username exchange. I don't know what it's going to be, but something's going to happen.

The phone thing was confusing to me, why doesn't he just chuck the damn phone somewhere? Or if the FBI guys want it, then why doesn't he just go give it to them? If they searched Walid and found nothing on him, they wouldnt've suspected anything and they wouldn't have beaten his ***.

That said, I can't wait till next week. The show is as awesome as ever.

I think it's more of a plot transition, setting up for the next show, than straight-up action.

Decent episode overall. I'm doing away with the previews, like other people have said, it just revealed too much information that might have been suprising.

It was a set up episode.

Anyone could see that. I think sometimes you guys ruin things for yourselves.

Jack didn't kill anyone this episode... now he isnt enough to carry the show...LOL man

Im just hoping the conflict rises with the presidents weasel assistant. Make it more intense and get rid of the emotional garbage.

Why Jack would check the guys office with backup and not have them all accompany him is beyond me, but there is always the complimentary CTU agents getting wasted on a humbug on this show.

Curtis can't save Jack anymore, so how he pulls this all off will be interesting.

Oh and if Graem did go back home, he's an idiot and deserves to be caught.

The Whalid guy could've just told him "here, you dropped your phone" and did it on the sly so he would've thought he was trying to sneak it back to him.
Then again, who knows how they wouldl've reacted in that situation.

The nutty part is how they couldn't get to him past the gate, looking totally unprepared to get him out during an emergency. Whalid got Mike Tysoned and there wasn't a guard in sight.

Regina King's character needs to be dropped because she has no purpose and is nothing but an irritant to the show, whining and complaining. Almost Gloria Allred-esque

The president just doesnt seem to exude that aura of a great leader to me. I dont know why they chose David Palmer's little brother , but he's a chump IMO. He can try to jump Jack but can't fire the weasel?

And the preview, why was the jerk trying to find the trigger shooting at Miles (chloe's ex husband)?

A below average episode last night.

              - Up until the last 10 minutes, Bauer had maybe 5 minutes of screentime.

              - The writers have to be careful not to let Abu Fayed fall too far into the background. It's now been 2 episodes in a row where you barely even notice he's still on the show.

              - I would like to see Chloe get her own storyline. Her screentime has really dropped off this year. At this point, Bill and Karen have become the 2nd and 3rd biggest characters on the show (in terms of screentime). I bet you Karen arrives in LA in about 2 episodes.

              - Is Jack going to torture Graem every week from now on?

              - I wonder where the Sandra Palmer storyline is heading. Anything that removes her from the show is a positive. I'm sure she will complain to Wayne how Walid's civil rights were violated for nothing.

              - From the preview, it looks like the VP is arriving to a destination. In a situation like a nuclear bomb going off, I don't expect the President and VP to be in the same location. I have a feeling the VP will try to take command of the situation from Wayne.

              - Sweeps is coming up, so hopefully the action picks up.

I made the comment about Jack's character not being able to carry the show anymore. Not because he didn't kill anyone, but because it's as if his character has been exhausted. His bad boy attitude and actions are expected now. We're not as surprised when he does something like shoot Henderson's wife in the leg...lol.

I think the writers realise this and that may be why they went with a more "spent" side of Jack this season. However, I really believe the storylines in this show have always been rather weak, and the honeymoon of seeing Jack as a nothing to lose tough guy is over. Now, in light of that, the weak storyline is standing out more than ever. That's just my opinion.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)

Season 6 so far is pretty weak. The only memorable moments have come at the end of Episode 4. Right now I'm watching Season 4 and I continually get the two storylines confused, thinking Season 6 is only a subplot of Season 4. That's not good.

Also, I bet Nadia is a terrorist. Fox is pounding the "If-I-Look-Like-A-Middle-Eastern-Muslim-I-Am-Or-Used-To-Be-A-Terrorist" theme, and that would be a great twist, albeit predictable at this point.

And... I dunno if this has already been discussed (or if it is even allowed here)... but does anyone else see the racist under-tones of this season?

Sorry Brankles, but discussing race and then politics is not allowed. You should know better.

For what it's worth though - I think you're reading way too much into it (especially the political part).

At least, they made it so the detainees were not actually involved. It would have been beyond ridiculous if Fayed was involving those guys in his master plan so they could stand around and gossip about it all day.

Well, somebody from the detention camp, even Wallid, is probably involved or else I don't think they would have had that whole little subplot, just for it to end up going nowhere. I'll be pissed if I had to sit through all that incessant bitching by Regina King's character for no reason at all.

I would guess that it was the guy befriending Wallid... makes sense to me. They make him seem like the nice guy that is in the group, but he might just be doing that to find out info; it did end up getting him a guy that had a phone to the outside world.

Watched Pardon The Interruption today and found it interesting that Tony Kornheiser said that he is giving 24 ONE more chance-he believes the show has "jumped the shark". Wilbon replied that "you always say you're giving it one more chance".
