    Would this be feasible?

Okay, here's the situation. I move into my apartment for school in a few days and they have wireless T1 there. Question I have is, is there anyway to pick up that signal with my desktop, without buying a wireless card for it? Would a router work? Could I possibly use a laptop to acquire the signal and then forward it to my desktop and my xbox (also no wireless adapter)?

    Any help would be appreciated.

First can I say how the hell did you get T1 and how much does it cost? (iv've heard hundreds-thousands/month)

A router would work but you would need to plug it in with a cord. But what you are asking does not sound feasible to me at least, you would need a wireless router or wireless card to the best of my knowledge.

When I was in college a few years ago we had a wireless T-1 network setup on campus as well. All the dorms were wired for Internet though, so my roommate and I could both hard connect our laptops in the bedrooms where our desks were...then we had a port in the living room that we used to get online with the PS2. We could also go and sit on the lawn most anywhere on campus and connect to the Internet with our laptops, but if your apartment is on campus, you shouldn't have to worry about routers and going completely wireless. Think of it as one big cyber cafe if that makes sense...

It's a school sponsored apartment in a rich area, not cheap by any means (475 a month per person) and there are 4 of us, per apartment.

Thats kinda what I thought about the cord and whatnot. Now they may have some sort of wired setup too, I really don't know.

Our apartments are about 20 mins away from campus (which I know has wireless).
