Compusa gave me a extra computer

Hi all,

I ordered a desktop computer from compusa.com about a week ago. It finally came today via fedex. However, for some reason they gave me a second computer for free (checked the order again to make sure that i didn't accidently order two by mistake).

Im confused should i keep it? Would i even be able to get away with it without them finding out?

Or should i return it to my local compusa? Would they give me a prize for being honest?

Ethical dillemas abound.

I doubt you would get anything from them, its there mistake...

my lil brother ordered a GeForce FX 5700 from newegg a couple years ago... 2 days later they sent him the same exact card but he wasn't charged for it... he was gonna send it back but i said "NO!!!" and took it for myself... needless to say my video card doesn't work anymore so yeah.. karma's a bitch.

Its not but not honest thing to do would be returning. You would be fixing someone's mistake and in the process helping. That way if you messed up in a similar case you would want someone to help you.

I would have a hard time returning it myself, but my GF would probably force me to.

Meh. Morales and ethnics. If someone gives me too much change at a store, I let them know about it. But, if someone ships me an EXTRA computer? Nah, I wouldn't bring myself to it.

Flyboy, I see your point...but it would eat at me too much, I don't know. Yeah, it's justifiable to say it's their fault and you're not liable, but that doesnt mean you should keep it.
