Maybe this is your chance to give it to someone who needs it, like a family who doesn't have one. Trust me COMPUsa isn't missing it, its probably your calling to give it away if they (compUSA) aren't saying anything.

I'd keep it for awhile, and then if they don't contact you, either sell it or give it away.

If they really miss it, they'll contact you, otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way to correct their mistake.

I would at least try to contact them and tell them. If they don't get back to you keep it. At least you made the effort.

I second this. Finish Line sent me an extra pair of sneakers once and I called and told them about it. They said someone would pick them up, but never did.

Yeah, I remember we got an extra pair of speakers when we ordered a PC from Gateway a few years back. Despite the fact that we wanted to keep them and felt we deserved them because Gateway really sucked every step of the process of getting our computer, we still called. We were supposed to get a shipping box to send them back, but when we never did we just kept the speakers.

Good rule of thmub... at least make an efforto to return the item, it's not yours and you didn't pay for it. But you might get lucky and be able to keep it.

wheres the proof that he has TWO UNITS.. do they assume that since they found it missing that day and he ordered the same unit. or because of the weight on the package? im misunderstood how compusa has any proof

KARMA HIT ME BACK

Whaddup up fellas,

Surprised this thread is still active. I'm sorry for causing any controvery between you guys, i hope this thread can just end and we just all leave as buddies.

Well the news is that karma struck me back today for keeping that dammnable computer. Came down with the flu at work today: experiencing the chills, fever, body aches, face all flushed, coughing etc.

To make matters worse i work at a rather prestigious law firm in hawaii as a lowly intern and they keep the air condition set really high which just killed me today. Also, i gave the flu to my girlfriend when we "interacted" with each other yeasterday. I feel horrible.

I'm hoping that if i survive karma's vendetta against me, that justifies me to keep the computer. As i have survived nature and karma's wrath against me.
