Help with PS2
My PS2 is about 2 yrs old and every game I put in it, it doesn't read. It says reading disc twice then stops. How can I fix this?Celtics-Red Sox-Patriots

Don't tell anyone this (shhhhhh!), but I sort of got a "free" new PS2. My dad bought me a new PS2, and took my old one, cleaned it up to make it look brand new, and put it in the box of my new one. He returned it saying that "it was a birthday present", and that "I didn't want it". So... cha-ching! Brand new, no real charge!
My suggestion is, if you don't want to take the time opening your PS2 and hoping for the best in trusting yourself to clean and adjust the laser (that's normally the issue), then try my approach. Not quite sure if it will work for you, but yeah.Last edited by Blzer; 07-23-2006, 03:03 AM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

That being said, I got my new PS2 for "free" as well. My old one stopped playing games -- sports games, to be specific -- and I had a friend who had just bought a new PS2 and was looking to unload it because he hadn't even turned it one since buying it. So, I ended up paying him $150 for his brand new PS2, then turned around and sold my old one to my girlfriend's brother for the same price. And, apparently, from what I hear, the one I sold him is still working to this day. So, it's not like I screwed him over or anything, plus, he knew the situation when he bought it. New PS2, zero dollars spent.Comment
