Before the flood in Genesis (Noah builds his ark)... the Bible is very vague with what happened before that. The only thing mentioned before Noah and his ark is the story of Adam and Eve.
Historians speculate that over 2,000 years passed between the creation of man, and the great flood.
My brother said something very interesting and I thought it was a really cool thought...
When God wiped out the Earth with the flood, what kind of things besides people went along with it?
I'm talking about technological advances!
Who knows what man could have developed in the 2,000 years that he was alotted. Electricity, computers, cars, etc... who knows?
And maybe the reason why all the people of the Earth were making fun of Noah when he was building an ark, because they didn't understand why he wasn't building an iron steam-liner (which could have been developed, and invented).
My mom quickly dismissed the thoughts as stupid, and impossible... but I responded with "how can you disprove a whole hypothesis just by saying it can't be true?"
I don't necessarily believe this... I just thought it was an interesting thought... what do you guys think?
