    XP Compatibility Logo

I tried to install a Netgear adapter (already have the router up and running) but it wouldn't take because it somehow wasn't tested with an XP program. I called Netgear online and went through a series of problem solvers, but the foreign guy said I'd have to check with my vendor, which is the computer place where I had my CPU built. Anyone shed some light on this?

what do you mean by "wouldn't take it" ? I've installed non-Xp compatible stuff and it just gave me a warning which i bypassed. I don't know if my Netgear router was among those but I do have a Netgear wireless router and it works just fine with Windows XP.
