Actually I am a big Hagar fan but I've not bought the CD yet. I'm gonna check it out though.

Odogg & Aukevin, you guys should check it out. It's not your typical Sammy cd, and it's more Sammy is having fun with his music and career at 58. If you get a chance, check out my review on my blog. Not my favorite Sammy album, but it ranks up there.

Nice review, I really agree with your comments at the end of the article about the Van Halen brothers. Sammy is not the reason that there is no longer Van Hagar.

Thanks. I love Sammy's solo music and think that he has come a really long way over the years.

The Van Halen brothers have issues that I don't know if they will ever get that straightened out. Last I heard, they don't want to have anything to do with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, or David Lee Roth.

I don't think it's the LSD (Lead Singers Disease) that Eddie always said that Sammy & David had, but Eddie has a disease.

Poor Gary Cherone, they kicked him out due to VHIII having poor sales. Much of it has to do with Eddie wanting full control over everything and trying to get Gary to sound like David, instead of himself.

Why don't they just go the Judas Priest route and find a cover band that sounds like David Lee or Sammy Hagar? Then with it being a cover band guy they could boss the guy around and abuse him/control him as much as they want because he'd be in awe of them.

My favorite Sammy song is Give to Live. When he performs it on the Van Halen double Live CD man it's awesome. That song is a great song. It's nice to see i'm not the only one out there who likes Van Hagar better than the David Lee Roth era of Van Halen.

I like David Lee Roth Van Halen, but nowhere near the way that I like Van Hagar. Sammy Hagar will always hold a place in my heart with his music. One of my favorite Sammy Hagar songs has to be "Deeper Kinda Love", Ten 13. Another one that I like is, "Eagles Fly" from I Never Say Goodbye album.

The only album that I'm missing is "Street Machine" from 1979.
