Right. I guess I asked the wrong the question. Why should there be a movie? Yes, the series is wonderful, but its not like we didn't get closure at the end. I just don't see the point is all.

I really hope there is no movie. I thought the finale tied things up very well.Currently Playing:

The show was awesome, it lost some of it's spark when guys like Matt, Riggins, and Smash (the running back can't remember his name) became secondary characters but even when that happened and they moved Coach Taylor to East Dillion it was still an exceptional show.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
I just finally wrapped up watching all 5 seasons a few hours ago. With everything all said and done now, this show easily ranks as one of my all-time favorites.
It's funny because for the longest time I just completely ignored it. I loved the original Friday Night Lights movie when I first seen it around 2004 or 2005, so when I heard that they were developing a TV version and then seen it wasn't about the Permian Panthers and there wasn't much of a connection to the movie/book, I lost interest and stupidly thought it was just going to be some cheap knock-off basically. Well I was completely wrong there. I cruised through all 5 seasons pretty damn quickly because I just couldn't stop watching.
I bought the first season one day for like $20 and even had it sitting around unopened for about a month, but then when I finally did decide to start watching it, I was fully addicted. You just get so attached and invested in all of the characters. It's really incredible how well they were able to balance all those different characters and their storylines and developments and never skip a beat. And that's something that's so cool to see as you go through each season is the development of characters like Tim Riggins, Vince Howard and Matt Saracen among so many others.
It still kind of boggles my mind that the show was only able to go for 5 seasons. Sure, 5 seasons is still a lot but this is a show that could have carried on for years bringing in new players and shaking things up like they did with Season 4 (which was a really ballsy move that paid off tremendously IMO). At least they got to have a proper conclusion to everything though.
I've heard talk about a movie but I just don't see the appeal in that. Especially with the way they did end things, it seems like it would be pretty pointless and they'd just be better off having a new season instead. I doubt that's a possibility though, and besides, I'm fairly happy with how they wrapped things up.
Anyways, I don't think this was ever posted here. Good read for fans of the show:

Re: Friday Night Lights show
NBC needs to stop using Friday Night Lights actors and props. It's making me miss the show too much.
First Parenthood is using Matt Lauria (Luke Cafferty on FNL) then I see a hat with a blue and gold P hanging on the coat rack in one of the houses on that show.

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Mrs. Taylor has the script for an FNL movie.
Like I said before, I'd rather they just start the show back up than make a movie. I don't really know how they're going to go about picking up from where they ended the show in the span of a 2 hour movie, but of course I'm interested regardless.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches.
